A converted farm building with
level floor throughout offering self-catering accommodation for 5
people with the extra facility of 2 substantial bed chairs for 2
extra people. Completely modernised.
PRE-ARRIVAL
Bookings can be made by telephone or e mail. Public transport
information is available with other tourist information in the
cottage and a bus request stop is at the farm gate. Castle Cary is
the nearest railway station with a good taxi service from there,
preferably pre-booked.
Shop mobility scheme operates in Clarks Village, Street with public
toilets wheelchair accessible .
ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES
The cottage offers ample secure, off-road, level, concrete parking
next to the garden entrance with brick paving to the front door.
The patio garden at the rear is secure and suitable for guide dogs
or small children, with a picnic table, barbecue and summerhouse.
Both front and rear entrances can be well lit with minimum sills on
both doors. There are no steps throughout.
PUBLIC AREAS
The large lounge diner and the hallway has mahogany wooden flooring
with a fireside rug and a rug underneath the dining table
A public telephone is in the lounge (01749880136) for taking and
making calls.
Two ceiling lights with 3 bulbs each, a standard and table lamp and
picture lights offer excellent light with a big bay window. All
rooms are light during the day and at night.
BEDROOMS
1 Has a 4’ – 6” bed with mattress memory topper with good wheelchair
access . The en suite shower has lever taps in the 2 x basins.
2 Has a 4’ – 6” bed with a single bed in it as well, both with
comfort mattress memory toppers.
Both rooms have hanging cupboards, ( with a further hanging cupboard
in the hallway) dressing tables, 2 easy chairs and bedside tables
with lamps and ceiling lights (3 bulbs in each), colour T.V.’s.
Carpet covers the floors with cushion flooring in the en suite
shower and toilet.
BATHROOM
A tiled floor with a shower over and ultra modern bath. No room for
wheelchair transfer between toilet and wash basin. Lever taps on
basin and bath.
KITCHEN
Very large with surrounding work surfaces, breakfast bar, microwave,
2 electric ovens, hob, dishwasher, fridge above the freezer, washing
machine, tumble dryer, integral ironing board, lever taps.
FACILITIES
A full-sized snooker table has wheelchair access as does the garage.
The hot-tub and table tennis does not.
